Professional Learning Session 1: Search Like a Fact Checker

This professional learning session will introduce educators to common pitfalls in students’ online reasoning, as well as research-based strategies for improving students’ internet savvy.

We encourage professional learning communities, such as departments, curriculum teams, or committees, to use this resource and have included suggestions for how to structure the session. Groups should modify the materials to best suit their needs and interests.

The classroom simulation activities are designed to be used sequentially, starting with Session 1 and ending with Session 4. For those looking to do just one session, we recommend Session 1 or 3.
